I Let You Fall

Thank you TCK Publishing for sending me this free title. I so appreciate it!

Synopsis:

On a summer night in London, art teacher Eve Chapman finds herself in a hospital emergency room. She watches surgeons desperately operate on a young woman with a terrible head injury. But when the bandages are removed, Eve is horrified to find her own body on the operating table. Trapped in a coma, Eve struggles to cope with the fact that no matter how hard she tries, her family and friends cannot see or hear her. But then she meets Luca Diaz, a handsome and comatose lawyer who can see her. He takes Eve under his wing and teaches her how to use her new abilities to help the living. As the weeks pass, Eve struggles to find a way back to her body and to Nathan, the man she loves. But the more time she spends with Luca, the more she wonders if her old life is worth going back to at all.

Review:

Rating: 4 stars

I will be honest. I received this book back on June 30, 2022 and I am just now finishing it. My mind has been so precocciped with life lately, but when I did crack open this book I was into it. That speaks volumes.  I love to get lost in a book when I know I need distraction as a form of self-care.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I always wanted to know what was going to happen next. I always had questions in my head as to what was going on with Eve. The downside was the book was very long to me. Some things could have been left out. I felt like the story was getting dragged out a bit.

I loved the theme of the book. How it showed Eve and Luca in the supernatural realm. I really enjoyed reading about their adventures through the hospital. I believe in life after death and angels, so it was really intriguing to read about the spirit of a coma patient. I love how Sarah incorporated the dates after the accident and how I was reading the thoughts, feelings, and fears of comatose Eve. It was really sad. It made me wonder if this is really what is going on within the comatose state. A person can feel and hear, but they are trapped. Trying to get back to reality.

I was not ready for Eve’s relationships to take a turn the way they did, but hey it wouldn't be a romantic drama if it didn’t. I loved how her support system was so strong. It made a huge difference for Eve.

I was really inquisitive on the how, why, and who is in control of Eve’s and Luca’s spirits. They still had a job even as spirits to look after certain individuals in the real world.  I loved the picture Sarah painted of how they looked. It gave me warmth knowing that this may be real. All in all the story ended up meshing really well together. Even though it was long. I was sooooo happy with the ending, so that made everything well worth it in the end! Good read. I highly recommend it! Here is the link to book I Let You Fall. Happy reading!
