Always Better Together Friendship Series
Friendship is always a great and heavy topic amongst adult women. I know I am not the only one who has said this or who has heard this statement “I don’t have friends, all I have is family.” Let’s be real, having and maintaining adult friendships are extremely hard, but it is possible to have healthy connections! I went through a situation recently in the realm of friendship, and when I tell you God changed the meaning of the word friendship for me, it was crazy.
I am bringing you along this friendship journey because I know I am not the only one who craves a safe and loving community of women in their life. I see the posts everyday. God had to teach me and show me through His word all about sisterhood. Yes, the activities are cute. The trips are needed, but there is more to sisterhood that meets the eye! This series is for you regardless of the season you are in. You may have a group of women in your life that are great. You have been friends for years. This can be a refresher for you. You may be in a season where your friendships look a mess. You or another person may have created distant for personal reasons. Someone may have hurt you or betrayed you recently. This may give you clarity. You may be in a season where you are tired of not having a solid circle of women in your life. This may help you find them. So, no matter where you are in the realm of friendship I welcome you here. Let me just say this, I also am speaking on family relationships too. Your cousins are your friends as well. So, get that “I only have family” out of your head. Your cousins are human beings too. I am going to break this series down into four parts. The leading scripture for this series is one that we always hear and intertwined with friendship.
“As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another.”
What I love about God and His word is that there is a fresh rhema that awaits when you read it. I received a new found perspective on this scripture. I want you to study this scripture and write down what you get over the course of this series. Now, you should be used to how I get down on Along Brooks Road. I dive inward first! So, get ready for the truth and the opportunity to hold yourself accountable. If you are not that woman. Then seek God for this posture, or maybe this is not for you and that's okay! I just know that this series is needed and if I might say so myself it’s fire! If you have any topics or questions that pertain to friendship please comment below or message me. I honestly want to shake things up a bit on the blog and do a Q&A. I am so excited about this!!! See you back here next Thursday for part one!!
