There is More Than One Way To Finish Out This Year
The fourth quarter started this month and here comes the posts speaking on finishing strong and productive. What if I tell you that there is more than one way to finish this year out.
That may be a word and charge for some of those people, but what about you? How does God want you to finish this year out? Comparison can sneak in when we least expect it, and in this fourth quarter you can look at others and feel as if you didn’t accomplish much or not doing enough. I am here to tell you that your roots and life are all you should be focused on and nurturing.
Listen, every year is not the year of birthing something new, overflow, restoration, etc. Also, not every season is the season of harvest. Yes, there is nothing wrong with believing and expecting it, but it’s all about God’s plan unfolding. I think we forget that there are stages in birthing and development that have to take place. We forget that seasons have cycles. We won't see a harvest until our crops are tended to. We delay our actual promise sometimes and not glean in the process because we are not surrendered to the process. We automatically think those promises are ready for us to take hold, but we have to get prepared for them. Ask God where He has you. Ask God what your year is and how to focus on what He gives you. This year I lost focus on what this year was for me, but God told me it’s not too late for me to get on board with where He has me.
Your chapter two is nothing like someone’s chapter ten. Everyone is in different stages of their life and assignment. Everyone is going through different things during this difficult time and God is teaching us differently based on where we are! If God has told you to do something then finish this year in obedience, but here are ways you can finish this year off.
God may want you to finish this year with a renewed mind, with a stronger prayer life, totally healthy, in peace, with a new foundation, with more knowledge of who He is, with a fresh start (you can end a year with a fresh start), isolated so He can tend and speak to your heart, in freedom, with awareness, being debt free, with a new identity, healed and delivered from years of bondage, with new vision, rested, or in alignment. You can’t finish His way if you are looking at the world’s way! As for me I am finishing this year out in His presence and being present. With this year being the year of undoing and learning for me. I just want to take all of what I learned, bask in it, and allow it to produce fruit in its coming season! Making sure that what I got free from does not enslave me again! I can’t do any of that if I am not in His presence and getting instructions! If you don’t know how you want to finish this year out I encourage you to ask God. Remember we are in this world but not of it. We shouldn’t follow societies customs. I swear I am preaching to myself because this year I was so lost that I almost lost myself. I am so grateful for Gods hand being on my life and the fact that He wanted to save me from me! So, what about you? How are you feeling about finishing this year out?
“2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
“33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
